Who are all these strange people? CafeJesus is a ministry of Christ Covenant Church in Fort Mitchell, AL. Our vision is to create a safe, online place Christians can go to fellowship and chat online. We frequently get the opportunity to help others out who are in trouble and have aided people out of abusive situations, talked people down from ledges, and offered encouragement to our fellow human beings. CafeJesus was started in 1995 as an IRC chatroom. Shortly thereafter, the programmer (Krioni) began construction on a website with a web-based online chat allowing tighter security and better efficiency. In 1997, Krioni moved to GA where he hooked up with Blaze, who runs the chat. Blaze had a vision for the CafeJesus to become a safe place for Christians to fellowship online, and has carried that vision as well as ownership of the website and leadership of its volunteers, who is responsible for keeping it a clean place to visit. CafeJesus is frequented by thousands of Christians on a monthly basis. We have visitors from Africa, Israel, Austrailia, Canada, and several other countries all coming together to fellowship and praise God. While most people speak predominantly english in our chatroom, online translation tools allow us to fellowship with people speaking many other languages. Vision for Fellowship Fellowship is a long-forgotten necessity in our culture today. The importance of fellowship and cutting covenants together is a key piece to the ministry of Jesus and His disciples. Without covenant, brothers in Christ cannot perform together. The vision of CafeJesus is to provide a non-threatening medium to allow this to happen. Donations Just like any other ministry, we need financial backing to be able to fulfill our goals.
