Painful Loss

Everyone, please pray for me. I know my problem is not a huge as others', but this is the most excruciating pain I've ever been in and I don't know how to handle it. My beloved dog, Susie died on Thursday. She was 18 years, 7 months and 11 days old. I loved her so much and now I feel so lost and devastated without her. I know people get through things like this and worse things. I just don't know how to do it. I can't stop crying. Wondering if I did enough, etc...Sorry to sound self-pitying when there is so much else going on with people. I just need some help and comfort...Thanks. ~~djk

I had to put my cat of 15 years down, part of it is i just wanted it
over, she was suffering from renal failure and was very thin, i had to
give her IV fluids and she hated the needles, when i took her in they
said her stats did not change but he probably would only give her a
couple more months, i loved her so much and miss her.

I pray for your loss

Thank you, Everyone. For praying for me. This has been a very rough few weeks. Eventually, I hope the wonderful 18+ years of memories will outweigh the last few hours at the end. It's just hard to accept that after all that time it's "over". That when I put the recliner footstool down, I don't have to check to see if she's under there. She isn't outside, needing to be let back in. She won't be coming with me on my walk at the park. Etc. etc...She was so intertwined in my life that it's impossible not to think about her hundreds of times a day to consider what she needs or wants, like I always did before. It's getting better slowly, and I'm very grateful for what we had, and for your prayers strengthening me through this. Love in Christ, ~~djk

Its not a little loss for your dog. I am really sorry it happened. I pray God gives peace to you and maybe can bring another pet that really needs you. I've never heard of a dog thats lived 18 real people years and yours did. God bless. Jasen

Dear dkj,
My heart goes out to you during this time of loss. Know that you did so much for your precious dog and that you did everything you could. God knows and loves you so much and I believe He can heal your wounds. Ask the Holy Spirit to minister to your deep hurt and loss and FILL YOU SO FULL OF GODS POWER AND LOVE!
In Jesus Precious Name, I ask you Lord to touch her deep inside and give her peace and rest and to KNOW that she did everything she was able to do and that you guided her and will be her comforter and bring her out of this difficult pain quickly.
I love you in HIM. Kathryn I wish I could take it all away. He will heal you. I am an animal lover and have cats, no kids, so I know.

Losing a pet is very hard especially after having them with you for so long! I don't know what I am going to do when Tiger dies. That cat has helped me so so much. Been around her for about 15 years. I am not going to be one to minimize your pain. It is very real. Yeah people go through worse things but pets are like a part of the family. When Tiger dies it will be like losing a family member and that is hard.
Will pray for you!
