In Delinquent Shadows

Somewhere,
wrapped in delinquent shadows
there lies a single sense,
lonely,
drenched in sorrows.
And if you listen,
it sounds like thunderous king
whispering like an expectant lover
or a self-uncertain
adolescent thing-
a son of God
were it not a fatherless welp.
Sometimes that part of us does sing,
and each indecipherable note
on every insurmountable weakness
plays panoply with our minds
and shuts me out.
I would know this,
I would stretch myself
asunder
to grasp what I am trying to say,
bridge the painstaking divorce
between heart and mind,
I feel it,
I taste it,
I dream it,
but-
not unlike you,
I simply just don't know.
