Deaf city

It is almost a tragedy-
The way broken and maimed
stagger about for understaning,
aching for wounds
to find their closure,
their despair
rings out of us
like an anthem
written by the deaf.
Yet despite
our concrete
inability
expressing its pangs
with skyscrapers and sighs,
persistently...
all weep for redemption.
Some through their failures
and yet
some through success.
Wisdom indeed calls from the streets,
but she is crying out to deaf city.
